No, you don’t need an induction to start here. However, we do offer an informal introduction when you arrive, if you’d like one. We’re always happy to talk through anything with you before you begin swimming with us.
We have a range of swimming distances to do in your 1 hour cold water slot – 150m and 250m, however this includes a 50m access route to and from the course! Our course has easy access into and out of the water, no sand or mud but purposely built stairs allowing you to swim easily and keep those feet clean!
While we don’t sell swim hats, we encourage swimmers to wear any wild and wonderful ones they have! We do sell and rent tow floats, but please note these are subject to availability and demand.
Yes, our water is tested every three months by an independent third party. It is ecologically safe for both humans and dogs to swim in. However, we always recommend avoiding ingestion of the water and washing your hands before eating or touching your mouth.
While there isn’t a current in our lake and it doesn’t experience the typical factors that usually cause one—such as inflow/outflow streams or water circulation systems—we can’t completely eliminate the possibility of slight natural movement in the water from time to time.
No, you don’t need to be an experienced swimmer — we just ask that you’re confident swimming 50 metres unaided. We’re always happy to offer tips and support along the way.
