Our location
Bluewater Lakes sit within a striking chalk quarry that dates back over a century. Once an active chalk extraction site supplying material for the cement industry, the area has since been transformed into a stunning natural landscape. The towering white cliffs and deep, clear waters create a dramatic backdrop, now home to diverse wildlife and peaceful outdoor experiences. Today, this reclaimed space offers a rare combination of natural beauty and industrial heritage — a perfect place to reconnect with nature.

We’re proud to offer a natural swimming experience that meets all water quality standards without the use of chemicals or artificial treatments. Our lake stays clean and safe thanks to natural filtration through the surrounding chalk rock. It’s protected and cared for by both our dedicated staff and respectful community of swimmers. Across our entire site, we’re committed to environmentally friendly practices — from the sustainable materials we use to our chemical-free showers. We share our space with nature, including nesting falcons and plenty of wildlife — and nothing makes us smile more than spotting our resident baby swans!
